Today about 30 community leaders met for a one-time gathering to discuss Paul Tough’s book about the Harlem Children’s Zone and the implications it may have for our community. MeckEd and the Council for Children’s Rights sponsored the event. It was our hope is that this conversation will inspire creative thinking about the most pressing community issues facing our children.

How could a significant change, a ‘conveyor belt’ strategy, be developed and come together for Charlotte? Who could lead it?
